With the growing number of accommodation options, conversion rates started dropping. Management needed a solution that would support company growth, and they needed it fast.
Solution:
User studies shown that the majority of bookable properties were located in dense clusters. Navigating them was extremely cumbersome. A newly developed geo-centric user interface based on a proprietary mapping solution saved over $30,000 in third-party costs and helped increase conversion rates by 16%. The solution also received considerable positive feedback from the user base.

Upon inspecting the architecture, I developed an approach that utilizes the company's statistical data and a new user interface that seamlessly integrates into the customer journey. The resulting launch increased organic visits by 4X, and the average conversion rate for the subset of these pages went from 0,05% to 0,6%, registering a 12X improvement.

My background

I have always been fascinated by computers, and began tinkering with them at the age of two. My passion for information technology resulted in scoring 100/100 in a State Information Technology Olympiad, and I was admitted to university on a merit basis, where I pursued and completed an MSc in Computer Science and Electronics.

During my university years, I ran a boutique web studio and then joined a major IT integration company. In 2011, I founded Level.Travel, a search and booking platform for package holidays, where I served as a CTO, coding it from the ground up and later, leading a team of 80 in technical and product development aspects. The company has since grown to over 200 employees, with revenue exceeding $150 million, and it continues to be a successful business today.

To hone my skills in user experience design, I attended courses on Human-Computer Interaction, which I applied in my work. In 2016, I was honored to be among 24 people selected for a foreign-exchange business leadership program by the US Government. As part of the program, I attended Georgetown University in Washington DC, and worked in San Diego, CA.

After attending numerous conferences and interviews, my professional network expanded, and people began to seek my expertise for their projects. Recognizing the value my skills brought to others, I started offering professional consulting services.
